Gloating is so unbecoming
So we now have Obamacare and yes Mr. President the sky is not falling yet. And yes even the hardcore opposition (of which I am a member) is hoping we can move forward past the endless debates and discussions of health care.
In case you didn't notice and I don't believe you have, times are tough out here. The economy is in bad shape. People need jobs. Your stimulus bill was a colossal failure. Billions spent for very few jobs. We the public are not buying the saved or created jobs also know as the Democratic talking points.
So, you won on healthcare. And while you rammed through a terrible bill by the most unscrupulous means, we all get it. You and your fellow we don't care about spending our money Democrats got your healthcare bill passed. Congratulations to you.
But, sir, with all due respect, you are the President of the United States and campaigning and gloating after the fact is childish and unbecoming. Recently in Iowa, you mocked the Republicans by saying "After I signed the bill, I looked around to see if there were any asteroids falling, some cracks opening up in the earth," Obama said, adding it turned out to be a nice day and "birds were chirping, folks were strolling down the mall." That's what I call gloating.
You won. We get it. But you won against the will of the American people and ultimately this bill will punish all Americans. You and your cronies passed a bill that will bankrupt America. You and your Democratic supporters passed a bad bill with no torte reform and no cost containment and a bill that will not be good at any level for our struggling economy.
We get it. You won. Stop gloating. You may be on the right track campaigning. You're going to need it. This bill was passed against the will of the people.
You and yours may need to do lots of campaigning. Because we are going to punish those that voted for this bad bill at the voting booth starting in November and continuing right on through 2012.
So, stop gloating and start worrying.
