From start to finish the climate change conference in Copenhagen is a joke. The entire process is a sham. One big photo-op, energy-consuming, 1200 limo-using scam. The players range from political to money-grubbing, right on through to the outright nut cases in the streets.

In what seems like a typical Obama administration public relations and photo-op move, the President recently hosted a jobs summit at the White House.

With all due respect to our President, the army, much of the media and many of our public officials, please show some courage.

In spite of Vice President Joe Biden claiming the stimulus package has worked “beyond his wildest dreams,” evidence continues to surface that it has failed mightily to accomplish its chief objective: To create jobs.

It’s a sad day when we can no longer feel free to speak our mind. It is an even sadder day when the right to free speech is only protected in theory by our Constitution.

Recently the CBS Early Show host Harry Smith promoted a new book and documentary about a New York City couple that spent a year without modern amenities, such as toilet paper and electricity, to limit their impact on the environment.

With all due respect to you, President Obama, enough already. Please do yourself and all the rest of us a favor and give us a day off from another major speech.

All I really want from the government is to keep me safe. They do lots of other things that seemingly interfere with my life, liberty and pursuit of happiness but the one thing I do want and need from them is to do their best to ensure my family’s and my own safety.

Often it’s tough to find the mainstream media reporting news that doesn’t agree with their point of view. It clearly appears that once again a big story regarding the Obama health care plan is receiving little attention from the mainstream press and broadcast outlets.

According to the Wall Street Journal Politicians love cap and trade because they can claim to be taxing "polluters," not workers. Hardly.

Don’t know if you trust the good folks at the Congressional Budget Office and don’t know if you should, but according to CBO Director Douglas W. Elmendorf the so called “ObamaCare” governmental health insurance program will cost $1 trillion over the next ten years and still leave 30 million Americans uninsured.

This is the beginning of what will likely be a failed effort. It is my mostly insignificant demand that gasoline prices go down.  Each visit to the pump brings more pain for all of us.

Why does something so simple that makes so much sense become so difficult? It seems unbelievable that some folks are still trying to fight this so desperately needed project.
