Open house will highlight design of final phase of Hwy. 364
The design-build contractor has been hired for the third and final phase of Hwy. 364, the Page Avenue extension, through the heart of St. Charles County.
The contractor’s design and construction schedule will be available for public viewing at an open house meeting from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, at the St. Charles Community College Rotunda.
The Hwy. 364 project will include construction of a new four-lane divided highway from Hwy. 94 at Mid Rivers Mall Drive in St. Peters to I-64 and Hwy. N in Lake Saint Louis.
Residents, businesses and commuters interested in learning about the new road and its major cross street interchanges are invited to attend the March 26 open house. No presentations will be made, but the public is welcome to view the displays and discuss the project with the engineers. Information will also be posted on the project website at www.modot.org/Hwy.364.
The public meeting will be held at the St. Charles Community College, located at 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville. The Rotunda is located in the College Center near the Yellow parking lot. Take Mid Rivers Mall Drive to Cottleville Parkway to the Yellow lot.
The property needed for the project has been or is in the process of being acquired. Design of the new roadway is currently underway. Construction is scheduled to begin in May with completion in late fall 2014.
