With the temperatures barely touching 40 degrees, a host of runners participated in the 2013 Run for the Helmet, Saturday, March 16. Find all the winners and times of various races at: http://www.fleetfeetstlouis.com/racing/race-results/run-for-the-helmet-7k
As for the parade, floats started lining up at the Community College on Friday night. By 9 a.m., Saturday, the parking lots at SCC were filled. At 12:10, the parade began moving along Cottleville Parkway to Weiss Road, turned left, heading for the heart of Cottleville. The crowds lining both sides of the street were, at times, 20 rows deep and more.
After the parade, the parties started in and around Cottleville.
