Town & Country police have notified news agencies that a burglary occurred around 11 a.m. on March 15 in the 1700 block of Topping Road.

The suspect forced open the French doors on the southwest side of the house and apparently made entry a short distance into the residence when a motion alarm was activated. It is not known if one or more suspects were involved; however, the suspect fled at the sound of the alarm fled and nothing was taken.

According to police, a second attempted burglary occurred later in the day in the 700 block of Stifel Ridge Court in the Manderleigh neighborhood off of Woods Mill.

In a released statement, Town & Country Police report that a woman pulled into the home’s driveway in an older BMW at approximately 3:40 p.m. She rang the doorbell carrying a small dog. The residents were home but did not answer the door. Shortly after the woman left the residents saw a powder blue Isuzu Trooper, or similar vehicle, with Texas plates pull in front of the house. Three Hispanic males wearing ball caps and blue jump suits got out of the vehicle and walked to the rear of the victim’s house. They then heard their patio door glass shatter so the resident came out onto his rear porch and the three males fled after getting in the Isuzu Trooper.
