Area egg hunts abound

Thousands of colorful eggs soon will be hidden throughout West County, where hunts are planned for young and old alike:
The cities of Ballwin, Ellisville and Manchester host an Adult Egg Hunt for those 21 and older at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22 at Paul A. Schroeder Park in Manchester. Guests should bring a bag or basket and flashlight and may bring snacks and drinks. A bonfire follows the hunt. The city of Town & Country’s Arbor Day Celebration & Egg Hunt begins at 9 a.m. (egg hunt begins at noon) on Saturday, March 23 at Longview Farm Park. There will be free seedlings for the public and a scavenger hunt, craft and yoga for children. On-site registration for the egg hunt, which is sectioned off by age group, is from 11 a.m.-noon. The city of Eureka’s Youth Easter Egg Hunt is at 11 a.m. (registration at 10 a.m.) on Saturday, March 23 at Drewel Park. The egg hunt takes place in separate areas for different age groups, with start times in 10-minute increments. The first 400 participants receive a goody bag, and a free hot dog lunch is provided. St. Paul’s Lutheran and its Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group hosts an Easter Egg Hunt for children aged 8 and younger at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 30 at St. Paul’s Lutheran School’s south campus, 829 N.
