The St. Louis chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers is sponsoring its first-ever educational event for the public. Get Organized St. Louis is a half-day event featuring three hours of presentations from local professional organizers and the opportunity to meet with local vendors of organizing-related products and services.

The event will be held Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. to noon in the SSB Auditorium at St. Charles Community College, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. in Cottleville. Admission to the event is $39 until March 17, $49 from March 18 to 22 and $59 at the door.

The morning will include talks on:

  • Home Office and Paper Management presented by Carolyn Conboy and JulieHough
  • Garages and Basements presented by Janine Adams, CPO®, CPO-CD®
  • Productivity and Time Management presented by Jennifer Stewart and Denise Lee, CPO®

“We are delighted to be able to provide the public with some fundamental organizing information that we hope will enhance their lives,” says Denise B. Lee, CPO, president of NAPO-St. Louis. “And weʼre also thrilled to give the public the opportunity to meet some of our associate members, companies whose services and products complement the work of professional organizers.”

The National Association of Professional Organizers was established in 1985 and now boasts over 4,000 members in the U.S. and 12 other countries. The St. Louis chapter came into being in 2006. It has 40 industry members, who are professional organizers, and 13 associate members.

Professional organizers help their clients by designing custom organizing systems and processes and by transferring organizing skills. As this event demonstrates, they also educate the public on organizing solutions and the benefits.
