Volunteers needed for regional basketball tournament in Wentzville
Special Olympics Missouri is recruiting individuals to volunteer for the 2013 Regional Basketball Tournament to be held March 23 in Wentzville.
The basketball tournament is expected to bring in several hundred athletes to the area and needs as many volunteers as possible to make it a success. Games will be played from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Locations include Holt High School, Timberland High School, Frontier Middle School, South Middle School and St. Theodore Catholic School.
Volunteers play an important role in the success of this event. There are a wide variety of opportunities available including scorekeepers, awards announcers, individual skills leaders and more. Special Olympics Missouri is a year-round program of sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
