UPDATE: Police locate missing St. Peters woman

The St. Peters Police Department has located the missing woman who left her home on Jan. 31. She was located in Illinois and found to be safe on Feb. 24, police said in a press release.
Police had been searching for Cara Ascencio, age 21, who left her residence after getting into an argument with a family member and had not been heard from since Jan. 31.
Police said she did not have a cell phone or access to any money or credit cards. Police said the woman has a brain injury and other mental health issues which makes her mental capacity that of a 12-year old.
