District play for Class 5 and 4 high school boys basketball teams begins Saturday

Postseason action in high school boys basketball kicks off Saturday in Class 4 and 5.
In Class 5 action, CBC is the top seed and De Smet Jesuit is seeded second in the loaded District 4 event at Parkway Central. Chaminade is seeded second in District 2 play at Ladue. Eureka, winners of the Suburban West, is seeded second in District 3 at Marquette.
In Class 4, Westminster is seeded third and MICDS fourth in District 6 action at Clayton.
District play in Class 3 began earlier this week. Principia and Whitfield have reached the semifinals in District 6 play at Lutheran St. Peters.
Here is a look at the seedings and schedules for the districts:
Class 5
District 2 at Ladue
Seedings with record: 1. Ladue (18-4). 2. Chaminade (16-8). 3. Riverview Gardens (11-15). 4. St. Louis University (14-12). 5. Ritenour (5-17).
Schedule: SLUH vs. Ritenour at 1 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 23). Ladue vs. winner of SLUH vs. Ritenour at 6 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 26). Chaminade vs. Riverview Gardens at 8 p.m. The district championship game is 7 p.m. Friday (March 1).
District 3 at Marquette
Seedings and record: 1. Rockwood Summit (18-7). 2. Eureka (16-10). 3. Marquette (16-7). 4. Lafayette (14-11). 5. Parkway South (10-13).
Schedule: Lafayette vs. Parkway South at 5 p.m. Monday (Feb. 25). Eureka meets Marquette at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and Summit plays the winning of Lafayette vs. Parkway South at 7:15 p.m. The championship game will be at 7 p.m. Friday.
District 4 at Parkway Central
Seedings and record: 1. CBC (19-6). 2. DeSmet (19-6). 3. Pattonville (16-6). 4. Parkway Central (13-11). 5. Parkway North (11-14). 6.Parkway West (11-13). Schedule: Parkway Central vs. Parkway North at 7 p.m. Monday (Feb. 25) and Parkway West vs. Pattonville at 8:30 p.m. CBC plays the winner of Parkway Central vs. Parkway North at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and De Smet Jesuit plays the winner of Parkway West vs. Pattonville at 7 p.m. The championship game is 7 p.m. Friday.
Class 4
District 6 at Clayton
Seedings and record: 1. Normandy (15-8). 2. Clayton (13-11). 3. Westminster Christian Academy (12-11). 4. MICDS (11-12). 5. University City (8-14). 6. Priory (4-19).
Schedule: MICDS vs. University City at 6 p.m. Monday (Feb. 25) and Westminster vs. Priory at 7:30 p.m. Normandy meets the winner of MICDS vs. University City at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Clayton faces the winner of Westminster vs. Priory at 8:30 p.m. The championship game is Thursday at 8.p.m.
Class 3
District 4 at Lutheran St. Peters
Seedings: 1. Maplewood. 2. John Burroughs. 3. Brentwood. 4. Principia. 5. Lutheran St. Peters. 6. Whitfield . 7. John F. Kennedy. 8. Valley Park.
In earlier action this week, Principia, Kennedy and Whitfield all saw their seasons come to an end. Lutheran St. Peters eliminated Principia 73-48. John Burroughs beat Kennedy 62-38 and Brentwood slipped by Whitfield 54-52. Principia finished its season at 10-15. Kennedy wound up 9-16. Whitfield ended 11-14.
