Mercy has entered into a long-term partnership to serve as the St. Louis Cardinals’ official medical provider.

The Saigh Foundation has awarded to St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield a $1 million grant that will benefit the hospital’s neonatal special care nursery, now named The Saigh Foundation Special Care Nursery. The grant will fund medical equipment, treatment, professional staff training and parent education.

Des Peres-based St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness (SLOCA) recently received several significant grants, including $20,000 from the Salsich-Hoehn Foundation and $10,000 from The Clifford Gaylord Foundation. The nonprofit SLOCA is committed to impacting ovarian cancer survivorship through awareness, standard of care, research funding and survivor support.

Assistance League St. Louis has received a $4,000 grant from Enterprise Holdings Foundation and a $2,500 grant from The Graybar Foundation. The Ellisville-based nonprofit will use the funds to support its philanthropic programs in the St. Louis area.

 

AWARDS & HONORS

The West St. Louis County Chamber of commerce recently honored Deborah Russell, of Send Out Cards in Wildwood, with its 2012 Don Essen Heart of the Chamber Award. The Business Person of the Year Award went to Jeff Boraz, of Firestone Complete Auto Care in Ballwin; Callier’s Catering in Ballwin was named Business of the Year; and Brian Durbin, of Genghis Grill in Ellisville, received the Young Professional of the Year Award.
