Chesterfield Police mourn the loss of 25-year department veteran

Chesterfield Police have announced the death of Detective Christopher Simpson on Feb. 12 at approximately 5:05 p.m.
Simpson succumbed to a medical emergency while at the Chesterfield Police Fitness Center.
He was in his 35th year of law enforcement. During that time he served with several area departments including Maplewood and Berkley, however, for the past 25 years he served with distinction as a member of the Chesterfield Police Department.
Simpson is survived by his wife of 32 years.
Visitation will be on Friday, Feb. 15 from 4-8 p.m. at Collier’s Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd. in St. Ann. A funeral mass will be on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3500 St. Luke Lane in St. Ann. Memorial contributions may be sent to Backstoppers.
