Chesterfield Police mourn the loss of 25-year department veteran

Chesterfield Police have announced the death of Detective Christopher Simpson on Feb. 12 at approximately 5:05 p.m.

Simpson succumbed to a medical emergency while at the Chesterfield Police Fitness Center.

He was in his 35^th year of law enforcement. During that time he served with several area departments including Maplewood and Berkley, however, for the past 25 years he served with distinction as a member of the Chesterfield Police Department.

Simpson is survived by his wife of 32 years.

Visitation will be on Friday, Feb. 15 from 4-8 p.m. at Collier’s Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd. in St. Ann. A funeral mass will be on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3500 St. Luke Lane in St. Ann.  Memorial contributions may be sent to Backstoppers.
