Chesterfield residents charged in association with bank robberies

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has issued warrants today, Saturday, Feb. 9, on Darren Everett, 42, and Mackenzie Leonard, 26, both of the 1100 block of Matador in Chesterfield. Each were charged with three counts of first degree robbery and one count of armed criminal action related to numerous bank robberies.
Two of the cases were from St. Louis County, with the third being from Town & County. Bond was set at $500,000 each. Photos are not available at this time.
The Town & Country Police Department notified the St. Louis County Police Department that they had taken two suspects into custody in Chesterfield regarding a bank robbery in their jurisdiction. Further, the suspects were developed with the assistance of the Columbia Illinois Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation who were investigating a Columbia Illinois Bank robbery from this past Monday.
Additional charges are pending in Jefferson County (Arnold) and Columbia, Illinois.
