TouchPoint Autism Services, a division of Life Skills, presents a three-part autism series to offer valuable insight into the world of Autism Spectrum Disorders on Tuesdays in February from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, located at 15800 Manchester Road in Ellisville.
The series is as follows:
• Tuesday, Feb. 5: Defining the Autism Spectrum, understanding symptoms and characteristics
• Tuesday, Feb. 12: Principles and strategies to support people on the autism spectrum
• Tuesday, Feb. 19: Living With Autism, presented by author of “Finding Kansas,” Aaron Likens and an individual with Asperger’s Syndrome
All are welcome to attend one or all of the free informative workshops that will offer insight into Autism Spectrum Disorders. This is an ideal opportunity for parents, grandparents, extended family, teachers and others who interact with children on the autism spectrum to gain understanding about ASD.
Life Skills, a United Way agency, helps people with developmental disabilities—including autism—learn, live, work and participate in the community. Life Skills recently merged with TouchPoint Autism Services.
