Messiah Lutheran School, in Weldon Spring, is one of 50 private schools in the United States nominated for the National Blue Ribbon School Award. Each year the CAPE Private School Review Panel submits its recommendation to the U.S. Department of Education who in turn selects 50 schools to receive the prestigious award.
“We are humbly proud to receive this significant recognition,” said Messiah Lutheran School Administrator Tom Guenzler. “A lot of hard work goes into the process, and our teachers, students and parents should be very proud.”
The Secretary of Education will announce the award recipients this fall, and winning schools will be recognized at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.
Messiah Lutheran School is located at 5911 South Hwy. 94 in Weldon Spring and serves 340 students in grades pre-kindergarten through eighth. For more information on Messiah, visit www.messiahnetwork.org/school.
