CBC begins its defense of its Challenge Cup championship in the Midstates Club Hockey Association playoffs get under way.

A round-robin format is being used this year.

Here is how it breaks down with the seed of the team:

Blue Conference
Division A: 1. CBC. 5. Oakville. 9 Kirkwood.
Division B: 4. Chaminade. 8. Lafayette. 12. Seckman.

Red Conference
Division A: 3. Lindbergh. 7. Westminster Christian Academy. 11. Vianney.
Division B: 2. SLUH. 6. De Smet. 10. Rockwood Summit.

In the round robin play, teams in Division A will play teams in Division B once in round robin play. The four top teams in each conference will move onto the quarterfinals. Teams will be seeded in the quarterfinals per their original seed. The quarterfinals will proceed into a standard bracket format.

Here is the Blue Conference schedule:
Thursday (Jan. 31) at Queeny Park: Oakville vs. Lafayette at 6:30 p.m. at Queeny Park and CBC vs. Chaminade at 8:15 p.m.
Friday (Feb. 1) at South County: Oakville vs. Seckman at 9:30 p.m. and at Queeny Park Chaminade vs. Kirkwood at 9:30 p.m.
Saturday (Feb. 2) at Affton:  CBC vs. Lafayette at 9:15 p.m. and at Kirkwood, Kirkwood vs. Seckman at 9:15 p.m.
Monday (Feb. 4) at Queeny:  Chaminade vs. Oakville at 6:30 p.m. and at Hardee’s Ice Plex Lafayette vs. Kirkwood at  7:40 p.m. and at Queeny CBC vs. Seckman 8:15 p.m.

Here is the Red Conference schedule:
Tuesday (Jan. 29) at Queeny Park: De Smet vs. Westminster at 9 p.m.
Thursday (Jan. 31) at South County: SLUH vs. Lindbergh at 7 p.m.
Friday (Feb. 1) at Fenton: Summit vs. Vianney at  7:30 p.m.
Saturday (Feb. 2) at Affton: SLUH vs. Vianney at 7:30 p.m. and at Fenton,  Westminster vs. Summit at 9:15 p.m. and at South County, Lindbergh vs. De Smet.
Monday (Feb. 4) at South County: Lindbergh vs.  Summit at 7 p.m. and at Affton, SLUH vs. Westminster at 9:15 p.m. and at South County,  De Smet vs. Vianney at 8:45 p.m.
