
Hollander
The seven-member St. Charles County Council has elected Terry Hollander (R-District 5) as its chairman for 2013, and Joe Cronin (R-District 3) as vice-chairman.
The chairman runs the council’s regularly scheduled meetings and schedules others as necessary.
Hollander grew up inSt. Charlesand attendedDuchesneHigh School. He was a teacher at Duchesne and St. Charles West high schools for 37 years. He retired from teaching in 2010 and is currently an assistant basketball coach atLindenwoodUniversityand has other duties there.
Cronin manages a business in O’Fallon his family has owned for since 1957. He also grew up inSt. CharlesCountyand attended Assumption and St. Dominic schools.
Hollander replaces Nancy Matheny (R-District 3). After the meeting John White (R-District 7) commended Matheny, saying last year she “ran the meetings very efficiently, very professionally. Thank you for your service.”
