The trouble with Twinkies

To the Editor:
After reading the editorial (West Newsmagazine, Nov. 21) about the Hostess situation, I cannot help but be “disgusted” by the fact that the writer failed to mention that the 12 executives managed to get 80 percent pay raises from a company that was “bankrupt.”
Before you start blaming the 18,000 workers who were expected to take a 37 percent cut in wages and benefits, check all the facts! And, no, I am not a Hostess employee. I’m just a man who looks at all the facts without blaming the working people. I would expect that a newsmagazine would do a better job of checking into the facts before printing such nonsense.

The workers let not one but two unions destroy a near 100 year old company. Unions are destorying America. Did you know the unions made a rule that there must be two people to deliver twinkies? One to drive and one to unload. 12 executives pay increases do not cause a company to go bankrupt. You forget that if the company loses all its upper management it will sink faster. Have you no respect for the education and hard work it takes to get to be upper management? Well of course your don’t. You write news were I am the only one responding.
There is a reason you write artcles. Leave business to people who are educated in the craft.
