Three adults were taken into custody on Nov. 29 after an active meth lab was discovered in the basement of a St. Peters residence.
Scott Lewis, president of the St. Charles County Drug Task Force, said a worker from the Division of Family Services was checking on the well being of a child in the residence. A St. Peters Police officer escorted DFS to the residence on Gateswood Court.
“The St. Peters Police officer became suspicious and alerted the Drug Task Force,” Lewis said. The Drug Task Force found an active meth lab in the basement of the home, he said.
The three adults were taken into custody and the two children were placed in the care of a relative, Lewis said.
Lewis said the names of the individuals have not yet been released.
