The city of Chesterfield is inviting the public to bring family and friends to participate in the tradition of its annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, joining in the fun with more than 3,500 participants.

This year’s Turkey Trot start times are 8:30 a.m. for the 5K and 9:15 a.m. for the 1K Kids’ Fun Run on Thursday, Nov. 22, starting at the Chesterfield Amphitheater. The 5K run is routed along Chesterfield Parkway and around Chesterfield Mall, and the Fun Run for kids 9 and younger follows a route along Veteran’s Place Drive. An awards ceremony follows the event. Long-sleeved T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 2,500 registered for the 5K and the first 250 registered for the Fun Run.

To register online, visit http://tinyurl.com/turkeytrot5k by midnight on Sunday, Nov. 18.  Mail-in registration forms can be downloaded at www.chesterfield.mo.us and must be postmarked by Friday, Nov.16.  Registration, along with packet pick-up, is available also from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20 and Wednesday, Nov. 21 at Fleet Feet in Chesterfield. There will be no race-day registration.

Come walk, run or push the baby stroller and join the fun for some exercise before sitting down for that Thanksgiving feast!
