Website provides information about judges on the ballot

Recently a West Newsmagazine reader called to inquire about the records of judges on the Nov. 6 General Election ballot. Like many voters he said he knew nothing about the judges on the ballot – who should be retained and who should not – and he didn’t want to vote uninformed.
Voting for judges can be perplexing, but, according to the Missouri Bar Association, “the future of Missouri’s courts depends upon an informed public with knowledge of the structure of the Missouri court system and the principles it is built upon.”
To that end, the Missouri Bar offers www.ShowMeCourts.org as a tool for voters to become informed about current judges and their performance evaluations for the past years.
