A long-planned road improvement project in Chesterfield took another step forward as Missouri American Water crews installed the final connections to a new 42-inch diameter water main this week near the intersection of Long and Kehrs Mill roads. Approximately 1,300 feet of of pipe was relocated to accommodate St. Louis County road improvements at Long, Wild Horse Creek and Kehrs Mill roads. Approximately 10,000 households are served by the water main.
Crews worked around the clock to ensure that water service was not disrupted by the project.
