CBC led wire-to-wire in the Class 6 high school football poll conducted by Missouri sportswriters and sportscasters.

The Cadets (9-0) remained the unanimous choice, getting all 14 first-place votes. That gave CBC 140 points. CBC has won 32 of its last 34 games, going 13-1 last in finishing second in the state.

CBC (9-0) opens Class 6 District 2 play with a 7 p.m. home game Friday (Oct. 26) against Francis Howell North (0-9).

Lafayette held on to its No. 3 ranking with 107 points. The undefeated Lancers (9-0) are 12 points behind No. 2 Blue Springs (8-1). Lafayette (9-0) opens Class 6 District 1 play at 7 p.m. Friday  against visiting Northwest (0-9).

Eureka made its debut in the poll, coming in No. 10 with 25 points. The Wildcats (7-2) have won seven consecutive games since losing its first two contests of the season. Eureka hosts Mehlville (2-7) in district play Friday.

De Smet (6-3) received six votes. The Spartans will host Pattonville (1-8) on Friday.

Parkway South (7-2) dropped out of the rankings as the Patriots have lost their last two games. Parkway South hosts Lindbergh (3-6) Friday.

In Class 5, Parkway Central (8-1) moved up two spots to No. 5 in the poll after closing out the season with a victory after losing to No. 2 Kirkwood the week before. The Colts had 77 points. Parkway Central has a bye in district play this week.

In Class 4, red-hot Priory (7-2) has a six-game winning streak and it received nine points but did not crack the top 10. Priory will host Union (5-4) on Friday.
