SSM Health Care – St. Louis is offering free seasonal flu vaccinations to the public. Clinics are walk-in only, and no preregistration is required. Because the available vaccines are injection only (no Flu Mist), attendees are asked to wear appropriate clothing for easy access to their upper arms. There is a limited supply of preservative-free vaccines for pregnant women only. The 2012-2013 flu vaccine, which is good for one year, will protect against three influenza viruses that research indicates will be the most common during the flu season.

For people who cannot make one of the free clinics, SSM Urgent Care at St. Joseph Medical Park is offering vaccinations for anyone ages nine and older. Flu vaccines are $25 each and are available without an appointment between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily. For those with Medicare coverage, SSM can bill Medicare for the flu vaccine. SSM Urgent Care is located at 1475 Kisker Road in St. Charles.
