The year was 1987: Music from Michael Jackson, Tiffany, Huey Lewis and the News and Bon Jovi dominated the charts; Pound Puppies and a talking Alf were among the most popular toys; and Mid Rivers Mall, St. Charles County’s first enclosed mall, opened.
Twenty-five years later, Mid Rivers Mall is celebrating. The fun kicks off with Family Fun Night on Friday, Oct. 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., which will include free activities for kids, a DJ spinning ’80s dance tunes, sampling and giveaways. The fun continues all weekend long with store sales, special offers and a gift with purchase. Spend $100 or more and receive two free movie tickets and a $10 bowling gift card. Visit www.ShopMidRiversMall.com for complete details. Plus, shoppers can register to win one of 25 prize packages that include Swarovski earrings, a $25 gift card to Max & Erma’s, a 1-carat sapphire from Helzberg Diamonds and more.
