It’s time to serve and volley.
Tennis district play begins Monday (Oct. 1) in Missouri along with individual play for singles and doubles.
Lafayette begins its march to the state tournament today. The Lancers finished fourth as a team last year and junior Haleigh Chobanian came in fourth in singles competition.
Lafayette coach Donna Stauffer said it will take solid play from her squad to get through the district.
“We are excited to be heading into postseason play,” Stauffer said. “Although we have the top seed, every coach in our district is a great coach and we know that we will have to play our best to win our district. Our players are focused and determined to excel as a team and individually.
“Our goals always include advancing to the state tournament as a team and to advance as many individuals as well.”
