A 19-year-old Pacific man has been arrested on suspicion of spying on two 13-year-old girls while they changed in a dressing room at Six Flags’ Hurricane Harbor on Wednesday, Aug. 8.
The man, an employee at Monsoon Marge’s gift shop, has been accused of spying on the girls though a gap in the wall and a door frame. The dressing room in which the girls were changing is attached to the gift shop.
The mother of one of the girls reported seeing the man watching them. Surveillance video, provided to the Eureka Police Department, confirmed the man’s behavior.
Eureka police Lt. Dave Wilson noted that the man has no prior convictions.
“This was not a known sex offender,” Lt. Wilson said. “It was a young man who made a critical error in judgement.”
Six Flags has suspended the employee. The investigation report has been sent to the St. Louis County Prosecutor’s office.
