St. Charles County Drug Task Force and St. Peters Police have arrested a man after he allegedly solicited sex with a minor.

Police identify the man as Mohammad Teimoortagh, 23, of St. Charles County.

Police said the St. Charles County Drug Task Force received information from an individual stating Teimoortagh asked the individual to find a young girl for him to have sexual relations with. Police said the cooperating individual contacted the Drug Task Force with Teimoortagh’s request because of the concerned that he was soliciting sex with a minor.  The individual informed officers to have originally told Teimoortagh it was possible to find a 15-year-old girl, but Teimoortagh allegedly stated that was too old, police said.  Police said Teimoortagh stated his preference was for 12-year-old.

Through various text message correspondences, police said, Teimoortagh agreed to meet a 14-year-old girl, with the intentions of having sexual relations. Arrangements were made to have the 14-year-old girl meet Teimoortagh on a hotel parking lot, located at the 4300 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway. Once Teimoortagh arrived, he was immediately taken into custody without incident by St. Peters Police officers.  He was found with $100 cash, the agreed upon price for the 14-year-old girl.

Police said the 14-year-old girl in this incident did not exist and no minor children were ever involved in the investigation.

Teimoortagh was charged with attempt sexual trafficking of a child under 18 years old, promoting prostitution 1st, attempted statutory rape 2nd, and possession of a controlled substance through St. Charles Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Teimoortagh is being held on a $250,000 bond at St. Charles County Jail.
