The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved a request filed by Laclede Gas Company (Laclede) to adjust the infrastructure system replacement surcharge (ISRS) on the bills of its natural gas customers. The surcharge first appeared on customer bills in June 2004.

The ISRS adjustment reflects infrastructure replacement investments made by the natural gas company since December 1, 2011. These costs for natural gas pipeline replacements and relocations are not currently included in Laclede’s rates.

The current ISRS for residential customers of Laclede is $0.83 a month. As a result of this filing, the ISRS will be adjusted and residential customers will pay $1.23 a month. The change will take effect on July 9, 2012.

Laclede Gas Company provides natural gas service to approximately 642,000 customers in the City of St. Louis as well as the Missouri counties of St. Louis, St. Charles, Butler, Iron, Franklin, Jefferson, Madison, Crawford, St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve.
