The Suburban West Conference had four wrestlers win their weight class in the  Class 4, District 1 wrestling tournament at Lindbergh.

Lafayette’s Nick Olejnik won the 138-pound class. Olejnik won by pinfall over Mark Smith, over Vianney, at 1 minute, 55 seconds.

Eureka had two first-place winners, both by pinfall. Matt McClimens pinned Josh Glore, of Seckman, in 52 seconds to win at 182. Luke McClimens stopped Ben Rushin, of Jackson, in 54 seconds at 195.

Donnell Walker, of Parkway South, scored a 10-4 decision over James Broderick, of Oakville, at 285.

The team scores at the district were: Seckman 209, Eureka 161, Jackson 161, Northwest Cedar Hill 124.5, Lafayette 122, Lindbergh 103.5, Vianney 78, Fox 74.5, Parkway South 69.5, Oakville 65.5, Marquette 54, Mehlville 27, SLUH 25, Kirkwood 10

The top four finishers in each weight class advance to the state tournament, which begins Thursday at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia. Here are the local state qualifiers:
• Brett Stoffel, of Marquette, scored an 8-6 decision over Andy Dierkes, of  Lindbergh, to take third place at 106.

• Kirk Bradley, of Lafayette,  earned a 5-3 victory over Chandler Sykes, of Fox, to claim third at 113.

• Luke Seiler, of Eureka, pinned Alec Reid, of Lafayette, at 1:56 to take third at 120.

•Marshall Sleet, of Lafayette, lost 6-4 to Dominic O’Niel, of Oakville, to finish fourth at 126.

• At 132, Matt Kraus, Seckman, scored a 9-1 majority decision over Ryan Jones, of Lafayette to win the class. Thomas Makowsky, of Marquette, beat. Levi Littmann, of Eureka, 5-2 to finish third.

•Darius Terrell, of Eureka, beat Sam Stinebrook, of Lindbergh, 18-15 to finish third at 138.

• Dylan Thomas Rush, of Jackson, pinned Tyler Sonnabend, of Parkway South, at 4:57 to win the 145 class.

• Kaleb Cheek, of Seckman, topped Khahyil Moore, of Lafayette, 4-2 in overtime at 152.

• Michael Slyman, Lindbergh, beat. Luke Gentry, of Eureka, 5-2 to win at 160.

• Joaquin Buckley, of Marquette, topped Kyle Benz, Northwest Cedar Hill, 9-5 to finish third at 182.

CBC had two grapplers win the Class 4, District 2 tournament at Ritenour while Parkway North had one champion.

The Cadets’ Bay Roehr scored a 6-5 decision over Jacob Gajewski, of Francis Howell Central,  to win the 106 class. Alec Maglione beat Travis Callahan, of Fort Zumwalt West, 2-1 to win at 138.

Parkway North’s Chris Carter won at 195 by injury default over Tanner Day, of Fort Zumwalt West.

Here are the state qualifiers from the district tournament:

• At 113, CBC’s  Alexander Fisher finished fourth after losing 4-2 to  Teron Woodson, of McCluer North.

• At 132, CBC’s Bryce Wandix beat. Dakota Mohorc, of Fort Zumwalt West, 5-1 to finish third.

• At 170,  CBC’s  Patric Masterson lost 5-3 to Ramsey Beale, of Ritenour.

• At 182,  the Cadets’  Jordan Davis finished fourth, losing 7-4 to Darian Jones, of Ritenour.

• At 220:  Cole Anderson, of Francis Howell Central, decisioned Darius Lewis, of Parkway North, 9-2. In the third-place match, CBC’s Tim Gant, pinned Brittan McLaughlin, of Hazelwood Central, in 4:28.

• At 285, DeSmet’s Nick Wunderli beat Richard Maggison, of Fort Zumwalt West, 1-0.
There were no local first-place winners in the Class 3 District 2 tournament at Hannibal.

• At 126, Chaminade’s Thomas Blackburn scored an 18-5 majority decision over  Carlis Richardson, of Hazelwood East.

• At 132, Chaminade’s Will Eicher lost the third-place match 9-1 to Jared Gordon, of St. Charles West.

• At 145, Chaminade’s Andrew Still won third place with a 10-7 victory over Cody Bain, of Hazelwood East.

• At 152: Casey Bartee, of St. Charles West, stopped Chaminade’s Max Wilhelm 8-5 in the first-place match.

Westminster Christian Academy’s Bennett Lewis, Westminster was the lone local champion in the Class 2, District 2 tournament at Mexico. Lewis pinned Ivan McVay, of Kirksville, in 2:31 to win the 220-pound class.

The team scores were: Kirksville 248, Moberly 190, Mexico 173, Westminster Christian Academy 147, Fulton 104, McCluer South-Berkeley 93, MICDS 62.5, Priory 62, Winfield 52.5, Clayton 46, John Burroughs 42, Missouri Military Academy 31, Soldan 18, Lutheran South 0.

Here is a list of the local state qualifiers:

• At 113, Dominic Francescelli, of Westminster, came in fourth after losing 6-4 to Matt Kelly, of Kirksville.

• At 132, Austin Roper, of Kirksville, pinned Dominic Barressi, of Westminster, in 1:45 to win the class. In the third-place match, Kris Brashear, of Moberly, decisioned Nick Scherer, of MICDS, 5-1.

• At 138, Justin VanHoose, of Kirksville, pinned B.J. Yeager, of Westminster, in 2:38 to win the class. In the third-place match, Priory’s James Merenda beat Travis Gittemeier, of Moberly, 7-0.

•  At 152: Westminster’s Forrest Obenhaus, Westminster, scored a 3-1 win Dylan McClain, of Mexico, to take third place.

• At 160, Priory’s Van Thomas, topped Blake Joiner, of Moberly, 3-2 to take third.

• At 170, Sinjon Adams, of Mexico, earned a technical fall over Chris Cacciarelli, of Westminster, at 18-3 at  5:31 to win the class.

• At 182, Travis Lang, of Kirksville, pinned Peter Schlafly, of MICDS,  in 32 seconds to win the class.

•  At 195, Westminster’s Joseph Isaacs was pinned in 1:51 by Clayton Workman, to Missouri Military Academy, to finish fourth.

• At 220, Priory’s Taylor Boyce earned an 11-3 majority decision over Darrion Current, of McCluer South-Berkeley, to take third place.

• At 285, Chris Brothers, of MICDS, pinned Joshua Hellm, of Clayton, in 3:40 to finish third.
