Bring a set of gloves, a pair of sturdy boots, and some safety glasses to assist the St. Charles County Parks Department with the development and maintenance of its regional trail system.
Beginning Saturday, Feb. 18, volunteers are encouraged to meet at Quail Ridge Park, 5501 Quail Ridge Parkway, in Wentzville, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., at shelter No. 4, for a Trail Work Day. Additional Park Trail Work Days are also scheduled from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., Saturday, April 7, at Klondike Park, 4600 Hwy. 94 South, near Augusta; and Saturday, April 28, at Matson Hill Park, 700 Matson Hill Rd., in Defiance.
Lunch will be provided to all who lend a hand with upcoming Trail Work Days. Members of the Gateway-Off Road Cyclist (GORC) are also assisting the Parks Department with the program.
To help with a St. Charles County Parks Trail Work Day, email Bekin Youngblood, Park Program Coordinator, at byoungblood@sccmo.org, or contact the St. Charles County Parks Department at 949-7535.
If unfavorable trail conditions exist on the day of the event, contact the St. Charles County Parks Closure/Cancellation Hotline at 949-7475 before heading out.
