Eleven skaters from the Great Skate Artistic Skate Club recently competed in Memphis and brought home 19 medals.
The club, which began in January 2011, now has 41 members and practices at Great Skate in St. Peters.
The competitors in the Heart of Memphis Roller Skating Competition ranged in age from 4 years to age 81.
“We are so excited to see these young skaters develop their skills and participate in regional level competitions,” said Head Coach Bernie Gilliam. “We look forward to bringing these events to the St. Louis area very soon.”
The next scheduled competition for the team is in June at the North Central Regional Championships by USARS (USA Roller Sports) to be held in Union, Mo.
