A rehabilitated Canada goose returns to its home in Des Peres Park. Wildlife Rescue Center Rehabilitation Manager Kim Rutledge, Office and Facilities Manager Mary Carle, and volunteers Ken and Kate Tretter released the goose from its cage.
A Canada goose that was shot with an arrow seems happy to be home for Thanksgiving.
Volunteers from the Wildlife Rescue Center in Ballwin rescued the goose in early October after passersby saw it running around Des Peres Park with an arrow lodged in its chest. The goose was released back into the park on Nov. 19, fully recovered after six weeks of rehab at the center.
